Week 11 Reading
We will be using Illustrator the week after Spring Break, so I wanted to give you some reading material about the two programs (Photoshop and Illustrator). Photoshop Tips and Tricks does a decent job distinguishing between the two. To respond to this reading, just give your general impressions. For your webpick (due Wednesday by midnight) find a website that uses vector graphics in interesting ways.

i havn't work with illistrator yet but from the blogs, it seems that you cant really compare the two. If you want the complete package you will need both illustrator and photoshop if you want to maximize your ability.
I agree with Jerry, never having used illustrator myself either I can't really see in my mind what their comparing the 2 programs; after we use illustrator I will be able to understand what their talking about better.
I too have never worked with Illustrator. It sounds like they are both comparable and that one of the major differences is that Photoshop is more primarily used for photograph manipulation but that other than that they both can be used to accomplish most of the same things.
Ive never used illustrator before, so I dont really know what they are comparing. But it does sound like a great program
I think most of us haven’t used illustrator, however, as the reading explains, it will focus deeper in the development of graphics and logos. I think illustrator will be a real fun and beneficial material to learn. It will definitely help our new project if we get as much from it before the due date.
I'm looking forward to using Illustrator since I have never used it before. I think Illustrator has a lot of the functions/adjustments I would like to use to manipulate my photographs. This article was a little confusing but I'm sure Illustratar is like most computer programs, "hands-on" experince is needed to full understand it.
I work with photoshp. I don't know what illustrator is to know if it is better. I will be looking foward to know what illustrator is, so I will be able to compare the two. As I read this site on the illustrator program it sounds interesting to wok with than photoshop, but it may not be easier or not.
MAY WE BORROW THE LICENSE FOR ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR SO THAT WE MAY USE IT AT HOME? THE VECTOR GRAPHICS ARE OF PARTICULAR INTEREST ME.
Like many have said, we still havent had a chance to work with illustrator but in what describesd illustrator, i think it is better , for detail work to fix the minor gliches in ones work
