Week 12 Reading

Because we are working with vector graphics and will continue to use them in Illustrator, this week's reading on sitepoint.com will discuss creating vector graphics.  Along with the explanation, there is a tutorial if you are interested.  We will be creating logo designs on Tuesday, so will use this information to work in class, along with a tutorial I have posted on our BlackBoard site.

This reading on Vector grafics is interesting on how it is used in illustrator. The graphics in vector is defined and it is looks easier than photoshop. Drawing freehand is something that I would like to do with a pad, because it much easier, than the mouse.

It seems that vector masking is the way to go if you are dealing with shapes that would be used for macromedia flash. Plus according to the article it is smaller files which is always a plus when saving images.

Vector grafics seem like the thing to use if you want to make custom shapes. Or any shape really. I liked this website caused it actually showed and explained very well how to make them.

This article was very informative but a little confusing. Like I said before, I think that hands-on experience will be needed to better understand Illustrator.

Well I now think that illustrator has a lot more to give because you can come out with your own imagination designs such as lines and points forming objects. The reading was essential but I would understand better when we do it by ourself. Drawing on the pad or working in illustrator manipulating lines and points to make vectors will make a fun classtime.

I think that this will now really help us come up with a final product that one is really happy about. illustrator allows you to customize your work and vector graghics enhances this by letting us work with diffrent shapes as one wishes to use. illustrator really allows us to develop our creativity and doesnt consraint us to only work with certain images and edit to a certain extent like photoshop

this reading helped clear some stuff on what the program can do and sounds interesting; am looking forward to working with it.

This is all good information, but what about drawing lines more accurately, as in drawing a line segment from one anchor point to another so that lines may share anchor points?
