Even though some parts of the article are somewhat hard to understand, I still found the articles useful and educational. I never new that building a website could be so complicated. I like the fact that he talks about how important that different shapes and coordination can play a big part in how it can stimulate the brain and make the website attractive to others. So overall I would say that it was useful and I definitely will use the ideas that I picked up from the article.
I liked this reading...it's a good reminder that web design is still an art, just a different medium of art but that the fundamentals of art design apply. It's good to take that into consideration and not get 'locked' into the whole website design but to look beyond that at the bigger creative picture.
What I liked most about this article was when it discussed the principles of design. From the basic to unity. There was some things you wouldn't immediately think of when designing a page like the Symmetry and rhythm. It served as a good reminder.
This week’s reading is a little more complex than the last ones; however it gives strong information if it is read and apply. I agree with David about how important the principles of designs are in the building process. I mean every design has to be balanced or they have to follow a pattern. They also have to have movements representing an object. In the same way, they can be formed with scale or using proportion. Another principle it’s giving the primary object the center of attention by placing them where the eye goes or catch first. In addition, all these principles have to be utilized to help you make a great and competitive design.
this weeks reading was very informative on how it broke down the certain priciples and aspects of design, i liked how they compared designing a webpage as an art form, to be creative and and make it eyecathing using balance, porportion, symmetry, etc..
Alot of reading and seemed a little confusing, and can't say I understand all of it but as class progresses I am sure it will start making more sense to me.
I like the way the website fits in with the advertising of other business, that help create ballance and tesion to the business. The artical is clear on the usefulness and to make a good website or webpage.
This was another informative article. however, I have already learned this concepts in ART 120 but having more information is always better than not enough.
I like what the article was about , it was very informative. What i liked about the site was how not only they gave the definition of the desighn principles but examples with pictures as well.
