Week 7 Reading

While reading the "Top 10 Web Design Mistakes,"  pay special attention to mistake #'s 1, 3, 4, and 10.  This will help you with the design of your homepage for project #2.  Don't worry about the information for meta tags, frames, and scrolling text.  We won't be addressing that in our class.

When you make your webpick this week, look for websites that use text in creative ways.  You may want to include poetry you've written, background information, or a description (keep it brief and see #4 from the reading) on your homepage.  This should not look like a myspace page, but give a good description of who you are, using web design tools we've read about and discussed in class.

just like the last article, these steps are very useful. The writer made some very good points that some people that are just starting to make websites should follow by. Resolution has to be one of the important points that was made about correct sizes.

Making a website is not easy but is not impossible if everyone follows these rules. Definitely, you want to include colors that attract attention but that match in color as well. Also what I found very important is not to go over the standard resolution otherwise the reader will be scrolling left and right. All in all, let's keep in mind that the more simple and useful is your website the most people would stay and read your work.

i enjoyed this reading because it gives tips on what we can do for our own webpages so that they are more appealing to our viewers. abd it was simple to follow, as easy as 1-2-3!

I liked this weeks reading as the advice it gives on what not to do will help in any future website building projects I will get into; very useful.

I enjoyed this weeks reading..it went a little bit more in depth about the mistakes that can be made and how to avoid them. I will most likely be referring back to this reading in particular as I work on my Project 2.

This reading is very useful to me when I make a website the next time. These rules I will remember to use, because it is not immpossible to make one, just difficult. It needs to capture the readers attention.

"Top 10 Web Design Mistakes" was very informative. A lot of it is common sense but it is nice to have a copy of this reading next me when I'm working on projects. There are a few mistakes I never even would have thought of such as lack of contact information or having the wrong resolution.
